Red Osier Dogwood Shrub
One of the best general purpose shrubs that is native for northern landscapes and very hardy. Great for providing different colours throughout the seasons with green leaves in spring, clustered creamy white flowers turning into white berries late in the summer, good fall foliage colours, and brilliant red stems in the fall. The red branches are extremely showy and add significant winter interest. The shrub can grow quite large and tend to sucker but is low maintenance and can be pruned at any time. Great choice for attracting birds to your yard and can be planted singular, massed or as a hedge or screen.
